Appointments can be cancelled up to 48 hours before they are due and may be re-booked or refunded in full. Any cancellation within 48 hours will be charged in full.

Gift vouchers are non-refundable once purchased.

6 month subscriptions – all massages are to be taken within 6 months and are non-refundable.

Just to have showered or bathed that day would be helpful. Don’t worry about your hair, because I’ll be massaging your scalp and ruining your hairstyle! Keep hydrated and wear loose clothing that is easy for you to take off and on.

I provide a screen for you to undress behind. You will wear underwear for the massage but no bra. Throughout your treatment, your body will be draped with a blanket or towel, and I will only reveal the area that I am working on, for example, one leg at a time, or just your back and shoulders. Your chest and pelvic area will never be exposed or touched.

Yes, you have use of a toilet and basin at both locations.

I can provide a small step stool and will assist you on and off the massage couch upon request. I am also well-equipped with cushions or bolsters for extra support if you are not comfortable lying down flat.

Please book your treatment/s within the time limit of 6 months.

Upon request, I can provide my up to date DBS which shows I have no criminal record. I have a First Aid qualification and my Level 3 Massage Therapist certificate from a reputable company. I am also a trusted member of the South Brent community and a former Headteacher.

Yes, there are times when it is not safe for a person to receive a massage. Please see the full list of contraindications here, in my Consultation Form. Some high risk conditions are as follows – uncontrolled hypertension, fever, recent injury/surgery, DVT/unstable blood clots and severe osteoporosis. If you have a pre-existing health condition and would like a massage, it is advisable that your GP gives written medical clearance to ensure a massage will not negatively affect your health.

One of the many benefits of massage is that it releases built-up toxins which will naturally be flushed out by the kidneys. To help this process, it is important to drink plenty of water or tea. Avoid caffeine and alcohol for the rest of the day; put your feet up and relax so your body and mind can experience that post-massage feel-good factor!

As soon as your skin’s nerve cells feel the pressure of soothing touch, they signal the brain to release feel-good endorphins into the body which boost your mood. Stress hormones begin to decrease and the result is a feeling of calm euphoria. Tension is reduced and circulation is boosted which promotes cell repair and the body feels replenished. What’s not to love?!!
